MOSCOW, Nov 11 - RIA Novosti. A customs post will be opened at the agro-cluster ‘Food City’ located in the territory of New Moscow, the Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin told journalists on Wednesday.
According to Sobyanin, the agro-cluster was opened just over a year ago, and its format turned out to be in demand. Today, almost a third of all fresh food products in Moscow is sold at this site – Sergey Sobyanin said.
He also stated that a customs post is to be opened shortly.
Sergey Sobyanin also said that more and more regions are coming to the site. 26 foreign partners are already working on the premise.
As clarified to RIA, the customs post will be opened in mid-December.
According to God Nisanov, who is the co-owner of the ‘Kievskaya Ploshad’ Company, to which ‘Food City’ belongs, the site will simultaneously be able to hold 5 thousand cars.
"Food City" is the largest wholesale and retail food market in Russia with the area of 88 hectares, located between the Kiev and Kaluga highways, 900 meters from the Moscow Ring Road.
